International Standards for Boiler Tubes

Date:2026-08-31View:2Tags:A53 steel pipe,Welded steel pipe,Pipe fitting
According to major international standard systems, the core standard specifications for boiler tubes are as follows:

I. American ASTM Standard System

ASTM A192/A192M: This standard applies to seamless carbon steel boilers and superheater tubes used in high-pressure applications and is a commonly used material for high-pressure conditions.

ASTM A210/A210M: This standard applies to seamless medium carbon steel boilers and superheater tubes, which have higher strength than ordinary carbon steel.

ASTM A178/A178M: This standard applies to resistance-welded carbon steel and carbon-manganese steel boilers and superheater tubes, including three grades: A, C, and D.

ASTM A209/A209M: This standard applies to seamless carbon-molybdenum alloy steel boilers and superheater tubes, suitable for use in high-temperature environments.

II. European EN Standard System

EN 10216-1 and EN 10216-2: These are European standards for seamless boiler tubes. The system is divided into two parts: Part 1 is for pipes used at room temperature (such as grades P195, P235, P265, etc.), and Part 2 is for pipes used at high temperatures (grades ending in "GH", such as P235GH, 13CrMo4-5, etc., alloy steel).

III. German DIN Standard System

DIN 17175: This is a German industrial standard applicable to heat-resistant seamless steel pipes with operating temperatures up to 600°C. Commonly used grades include St35.8, 15Mo3, 13CrMo44, etc.

IV. International ISO Standard System

ISO 9330-4: This standard applies to submerged arc welded steel pipes used in high-temperature and pressure-bearing applications such as boilers and steam generating equipment.
