NACE MR0175 (also known as ISO 15156) is a standard issued by the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) that provides guidelines for the selection and qualification of materials used in oil and gas production in sour service environments. Sour service refers to oil and gas containing significant amounts of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and/or carbon dioxide (CO2), which can cause sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC) in metals.

The standard provides guidelines for material selection, manufacturing, testing, and documentation of equipment and components used in sour service environments. It covers various materials including carbon and low alloy steels, stainless steels, nickel alloys, and titanium alloys.

The NACE MR0175 standard has been adopted by many countries and is widely recognized as a global standard for sour service applications in the oil and gas industry. Compliance with the standard is mandatory for many oil and gas companies and is often required by regulatory bodies. The latest version of the standard is NACE MR0175/ISO 15156-3:2015.
